Every time I lock my door my alarm goes off... but just the lights. The alarm is not audible. When I unlock and start the car I get a "alarm system service required" light.

Is this something common? Maybe a fuse (its not labeled so Id check)?

 

try opening and dropping your hood from 12".

check the fuse for the alarm siren (driver door)... someone may have pulled it because of the problem?

 

want to get rid of the problem do like me go to the dealer and tell them to shut down the alarm system with the computer. I had problems with it too. You don't need that option it's anoying as for me i am a happy man.
