Default All wheel alignment

Hey guys, I'm getting new tires tomorrow, and I wanted an opinion or two about getting the one time alignment for $79 or the lifetime for $159? I've got a 2013 S60 so maybe the lifetime?

Assuming you are the type to keep a car 3-5 years plus it's a no brainer. Lifetime for the cost of 2 alignments is cheap, but make sure you read any fine print like "one per year". The 3rd and every additional one is free and doing it once a year will extend the life of your tires. And of course any time you hit a pot hole exceptionally hard, a curb, etc. I can take a perfectly aligned car and have it knocked out of alignment in 2 minutes if I really want to and of course that can happen at any time by accident.

I agree. If you are keeping the car a while, it's a no brainer.

Also, see if it includes an alignment if required with any suspension work. For example, say in a couple years an outer tie rod wears out and needs replacement. Is the alignment free after replacement of the tie rod? Or do you have to pay for that one?

yep, I'd look at the fine print - like how many per year, whether it's only for a "front end" (ie toe in/out) or do they do a four point alignment.

Thank-you guys for the good feed back. The special of $159 lasts to the end of the month at Firestone, and I thought that was a good deal.

Where do they offer the lifetime alignment?

Back in 91 I bought a lifetime alignment for the 91 Volvo.
It was non transferable but since I still have the car, with 210,000 miles, they hate me.

They do give me a little crap occasionally, because they don't offer it anymore.
Keep the receipts and read the "lifetime" very carefully.

It sounds like a good deal but like others have said, I would pay special attention to the fine print. $159 for lifetime alignments is great but I'm sure there are restrictions.

Actually $181.00 with tax, but Firestone showed me that my front was out of align, rear not too bad. I can have all re-aligned as much as I want for life of car. I hope to go once a year for check-up. This Firestone special ends today. It's usually $199. Thanks

4 alignments pays for itself.
Add inflation after the election next year and we'll see that alignment at $99 or more.
Good call.
