Default Alternator: voltage increases to 14.1v when breaking

Hi guys,

I was scanning my Volvo S60 T4 2011 on Engie and listed a problem related to the alternator.

So I started monitoring the voltage using another App, in real time, to see the voltage. While accelerating or idle, the voltage keep 12v ~ 12.2v, but if I start decelerating (pushing the break pedal), the voltage increases up to 14.1v. Right after I release the break, the voltage returns to 12v ~ 12v.

Isn’t it normal, right? Does anyone know if it is a problem and what is wrong with it?

Thanks!

That is odd. How long does the voltage stay up at 14V? What if you're sitting still and press the brake pedal?

Do you have a charging system warning message or light on?
