Post Angel Eyes Installation for R (Cheap and easy under $100 project)

Well I thought this would be a good way to introduce myself to the R forum and also participate. I owned an 850 T5 and was active in that forum and would like to become a participating member of the S60R forum now that I have one.

Attached are the pictures after my angel eyes install. Because I looked for weeks and could not find custom headlights or angel eye kits, I decided to make my own design from scratch. The installation is fairly easy. I would say amateur experience level and maybe a Saturday reserved to do the full install. They look excellent in person. They shine nice and bright even in broad daylight. I feel bad for those BMW owners with the yellowy halogen looking angel eyes, they make a car look cheap.

If I get enough requests for a write-up I would be willing to disassemble my car again and do a picture walkthrough along with a list of parts needed (should be under $100!!!). Unfortunately the write-up will be aimed at members with the HID headlight design but the concept can be applied to all headlights with a little creativity and epoxy.

Those headlights look great! It would be great if you did a write up. Please keep me posted. I am considering doing this with mine.

None of the R's came with projectors. His car is an '05 or '06. '04's have the black plastic body trim and '07's have the integrated turn signals in the mirrors.

I wish we had the euro spec headlights on our cars.
