Default audible clank

I seem to be posting a lot lately. I recently bought an '06 s60 w/70k miles, and after driving it for a while, and getting used to it, a few noises have started to stand out. One in particular is a sort of audible clank sound that happens when I first start to accelerate. It's hard to tell where it's coming from. At first I thought it was coming from the rear, but now I'm not so sure.
Another thing that might or might not be related is the amount that the car rolls after it it put in park. I understand all automatic transmissions do this to some degree, but this one seems like a lot to me.
Anyway, any thoughts?

That clank could be the axle/hub connection. I'm a little fuzzy about the details, but there's a few threads about it; some will fill the space with 'Liquid Metal' (that's what the Volvo tech called it) and some will replace the bolts with special ones that have a little cone of rubber around them. Don't use Lock-Tight - they'll never come apart when you need them to...

As for the 'in Park' roll, I use my hand brake for this very reason. In my mind, that extra little torque on the trans only adds wear n tear on expensive parts.

check the trans torque mount on the bottom side of the engine

looks like this

its a common issue and easy to tell if its bad, just unbolt it and if its wobbly then its bad pretty much.
