battery in trunk

Hi, just discovered a battery in the trunk of my s60. What does it control?

Everything lol. It serves the same purpose as a battery under the hood, except that Volvo chooses to put it in the trunk.

It gives you better weight distribution and also keeps the battery away from the engine heat which prolongs the life of the battery.
