I am preparing to run a pair of #8 AWG wires from the engine compartment battery area to the trunk of my S40 to support 2-way VHF/UHF radio equipment used in Amateur Radio volunteer activity. Proper fusing will be adheared to. Although I have several years of experience wiring fire trucks, I prefer to not reinvent the wheel on my Volvo, I would appreciate suggestions on the best route for these cables, from the engine compartment to the trunk.
