Default Block Heater

Hello, I am new here and tried to search for this topic, but to no avail.

I just bought a used 2002 S60 2.4 (non turbo)with a manual transmission. I need a block heater and can't seem to find the cord anywhere. I jacked the car up and looked underneath and found a place behind the exhaust manifold and above the oil drainplug that looks like it could be where the block heater should go, but Iam notsure... is anyone familiar with where the block heater should be??? I really don't want to go to the dealershipjust so theycan tellme that it doesn't have one and then charge me $370 to put one in.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry but I have never seen a car with one in it.
No need for them in Florida.

Hi, Any luck with your block heater? Im looking into installing one on my 2004 T6 XC90. Dealer wants $600, I found one on eBay for $150 US. Just wonderinghow hard it would be to install? We definitely need one here in northern Alberta. Thanx

Hi Wkotula...how'd you make out with the block heater issue? I just bought the same vehicle as you from a guy in Edmonton and it doesn't have one either. Please let me know - thanks. Mike.
