Default boost sensor with can and ECU failure on 2002 2.0 T

Hello,

My name is Ben and just joined after purchasing a second hand s60 and need some help...

Car 2002 S60 2.0 Turbo S Manual

Picked up from London and drove home to Norfolk. Purchased this following my old 306 being written off and wanted a more safer and larger family car with some power when needed!

I must say I am impressed so far. Car is lovely to drive, room for the kids and shopping and looking forward to our next break away and filling the boot...well trying too!

Now to my question...I have searched but have some errors come up relating to engine and anti skid warning comes and goes - could have been the wheel cleaner on a sensor? Still drives OK and doesn't seem to be any problems so looking for some help and advice before I fear I wasted the only cash we had for a pile of poo! (or not having the cash to fix it!)

Local garage tested the car and came up with these codes...did try to reset too but back straight away?

Engine Codes:
170F Boost Pressure Sensor Implausibility With Atmosphere Pressure
1300: MAF Mass Air Flow
1600: Boost Pressure Sensor

Brake Codes:
E000: Can and ECU Coms failure
0101: Coms Can Bus

Immobiilser Codes:
E000: Can and ECU Fail
6A02: Door lock right rear
6A01: Door Lock Left Rear

Should I be worried or are these simple tasks??? Like I said she starts, drives and breaks OK and all doors lock when button pressed?!?

I looked on ebay for a boost pressure sensor for around 80 and willing to give it a go but seeking advice first from anyone who's had this car or faults?

I think the 1600 engine code is culprit for others two. But to be 100% sure you need to have also sensor readings using computer.

Brake and Immo codes shows that there are issues with CAN network.
What is the construction week of your car?
Often the broken BCM module can be the culprit. Not completely dead but just making noise on the bus.

Default Volvo Diagnostic Systems Dice VIDA

Hi and thanks for the response...

I need to get to local Volvo to check car out and get codes but noticed this:
volvo diagnostic tool, vida dice, volvo dice vida, Volvo Diagnostic Systems Dice VIDA - GBP£79.34

Is this worth 80 and give me the codes I need? Seeing as they'll charge 40 + VAT plus about 20 in petrol to get there makes sense if it does?

Kind regards,

Ben

Yes. It will not only give you the codes but a number of possible reasons that can cause the issues. + Service manual.

Keep in mind the computer requirements. The installation DVD will not allow the install if the requirements are not met.

That can be easily bypassed by editing "\Install\DVD\Vida_dvdheader\Compinfo.ini"

Default Got Dice/Vida working...error codes:

boost sensor with can and ECU failure on 2002 2.0 T-car_afterreset1.jpg

boost sensor with can and ECU failure on 2002 2.0 T-car_afterreset2.jpg
This shows the boost pressure sensor is low/bad signal.

A MAP sensor could possibly be at fault...what's the best easiest way to check...is there extra tests I can do with the software or clean or replace sensors???

also...with the turbo unplugged...I think its the turbo! Car runs smooth..

My worry is that we're off to visit family and need the car for the weekend...160 miles each way...will running like this cause any damage?
