Hello:
I'm new to this forum![Wink](https://volvoforums.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif)
I went to the Volvo dealership last night, with the V50 on my mind. I drove it and it was okay. I looked at the sedans and the salesperson mentionedthat theS60's are $8,000 off their list price. So basically, a $35k S60 will cost $27k! It was nicely equipped with the premium and climate packages.
What do you guys think?
Joe

those S60's have been discounted from sticker from inception.
My father in law got a quote on a S60 loaded for 24,800 $. That's with the Ford employee discount.
I think he is getting it today, a 2007 model. Leather, Sunroof, CD, power seats, etc. And a premium color (black, and white are NC), and his color was Silver metallic.

Ford employee discount usually means they can get one for about 800 to 1500 dollars cheaper than the average joe, after he makes his best deal. No haggling with the dealer on the X plan or A plan, it's one price and that's it. I don't know what the R may come in at, he didn't look at that one. A 75 plus year old guy doesn't need that car.
S60's are heavily discounted right now. Lease was offeredfor two years, 12 K per year, zero down, for 368 per month. Either way I am going to buy it from him in two years. He won't put over 20K on that car in two years. Residual on the lease says he can purchase it for 17,800 plus sales tax in two years. That's a good deal for me. Leasing was a better option for him than purchase. And for me.
