Default buying advice

hi

I am looking at buying a 2002 S60 'S' D5. it has 95,000 miles on and a fullish history. i have taken it for a test drive and it felt great solid and sure footed (even in the snow that we had).

I have looked all over the car and cannot find any of the common faults. The seller said he would put a full mot on it and change the cam belt (we could not tell if it had been done so as a good will gesture he said he would have it done)

My questions are:
1) Does the 'S' spec computer only show driver messages or should it also do MPG and remaining milage etc or was that on higher specs.
2) is it possible to get a ipod / phone or even a jack input for the stereo?
3) should i buy it for £4000?

thanks for any replys in advance

Has the transmission fluid ever been changed? pull out the tranny dipstick and see what it looks like. If he is going to do the belt make sure that the water pump and tensioner get done too, even if you have to pay the difference. That price does not sound out of line for a nice car, but it is 8 years old now. I paid 11k US$ for a wel maintained 2003 S60 with 90kkm 7 months ago and am very happy with it. I am in South Africa though.
