Default A/C Incident

I've got an '06 S60 with 108K on it, and the A/C has always blown arctic cold. The other day, it was chugging away, and it went very warm for a brief moment, then resumed blowing cold air. Any ideas on what may have happened? Thanks.

a few possible causes - something electrical and the computer reset (ie temp sensor etc?), the charge is on the low end of the range and the pressure sensor cut out and reset when it warmed up or the clutch gap is getting a bit too wide and it overheated and reset when it cooled a bit. I'd start by having your freon pressure checked. If you do it yourself, make sure you read a chart for the target pressure for the given ambient air temp (pressure with the compressor running)

What exactly do you mean by 'clutch gap'?
