Hi all,

Just checking to see if anyone else has had this issue. I got a cabin air filter from ipd, and couldn't get it to fit into the housing. It is just slightly too tall, and won't insert fully in. I then whent to the dealer and got one. It looks slightly differant from the filter that was in the car from the factory, and again won't quite fit.

I wonder if anyone else has had this problem/what could be causing this?

 

Are you 100% sure you have it turned the right way?
I had one the other day I had to give it a pretty good push to get it up in all the way.

 

I am sure I had it oriented correctly. I guess what bugs me is that the filter from the factory slides in and out perfectly, but both replacements are absolutley not fitting correctly. I hate the idea of having to cram it into the housing, but like you say, it may just take some extra "persuasion".

As an aside, has anyone found an AC filter (not from ipd or volvo dealership) that they had no trouble with?

 

I got mine at my local AdvanceAutoParts store...........I think it was a Purolator.......and it fit fine. Just had to wiggle it in with a little extra push to get the last part of the botton edge in for the cover.......since it's just make of paper material it has some flex anyway when you push it up into the holder.
