Can't get radiator fan to turn on
Hey all!
I have a 2012 Volvo S60 with a V6 engine
I previously had a cooling fan that always ran at 100% whether the car was on or off at all times. I replaced both the fan and control unit, but I can't seem to get the fan to run.
I tried plugging the old control unit into the new fan, and it ran immediately, so the issue is not with the new fan, it seems. Then I replaced the control unit with another brand new one and still can't get it to run. Ran the car until 107°C with A/C on full blast and the fan still doesn't kick on.
What do I do?
Thanks to all who can help

It's an OEM part, I had it sent directly from the dealer
EDIT: I got the fan and control unit together as they don't sell either separately. When I suspected it might have been a defective control unit after installing the new fan and control unit, they sent just a new control unit. I have 3 now, one old one (this one makes the fan run immediately and always at 100%) and two new ones, which don't seem to run at all

UPDATE: Today was hotter... by the time I parked the car after my 15 minute commute to work, the ECT read 99c and the fan still wasn't running. It never got above 95c while driving, though

At least one of the fans should run when the ac is on and the pressures are high enough in addition to just engine temp.
A compatible scan tool has the ability to turn on the fans manually to test them
