Default Car storing - Part II

Thanks for all who replied on my last Car storing topic. I have a new question.

I've read in the past that if you are going to store a car for a longer period of time, i.e. many months, that prior to starting it back up after storage you may want to remove the plugs and squirt a little motor oil in there to prevent a "dry" start.

Does this make sense? Would an S60 2.5T benefit from something like this? How long might a car need to be stored before this is required?

Thanks

Or maybe a squirt when you put in to storage. Not much, and turn the engine over a few times after you do it. Works well on lawn equipment, snowblowers, motorcycles, etc that are stored every year. Leave the plugs out and plug the holes with rags. You don't want the engine to start. Then replace the plugs with a dab of antiseize compound on the threads. You'll see smoke on restart for a few seconds. Don't worry. Just don't drown the cylinder with oil or you'll wreck the plugs.
