Default (CEM) Alarm Module and much fun.

Volvo S60 2006 2.4T, alarm keeps triggering at random times. Especially at night when i'm sleeping to make sure it wakes up everyone around. It also trigger when I drive, actually, it's always triggering, only way to make it stop is to unplug the battery in my trunk. (Prob due to a failed backup battery)

Now, I don't want to have it fixed, I want to remove it, the whole thing. I have no rooftop so I don't care. Taking off a fuse or something will make it stop? It's draining my battery atm and being in quebec at -40 makes it kinda retarded. So here is my question, any fuse / wire I can cut / module I can smash to make sure I don't have a car alarm that will drain my battery?

why not starting by removing the siren fuse in driver near door panel see what happens if windows still work

if not, remove rivets on passenger side wheel cover (towards front of the car) and disconnect the siren module connector

You need a software download to remove the alarm from the car's programming.

so it's not the siren that triggers the alarm, it's some other electrical mess. when you go to the dealer (or cheaper find some small volvo garage on local.google.com) they will completely remove the alarm programming for the whole car and you're done.

There is a general ECU reset procedure but I don't think this will work, but if you want to try, remove battery terminals and leave it off a good night long - at least 12h. check if the trunk opens properly with the key inserted - you wont have current to unlock it. when the computer resets the climate control will turn to auto and the blower speed will be off.
