Default changing low beam light bulb

Hello everybody happy new year
The low beams on my 2003 S60 stopped working together and at the same time the turn signal indicator lights stopped working.
I checked all the fuses were OK. I bought a pair of low beam bulbs but can not get the old one out. I have not been able to find any picture or diagram or videos for it (there are a few videos on youtube but none was actually helpful).
How do you remove the old bulb. There seem to be a type of spring in front of it which I have not been able to remove.
Any diagram or photo is appreciated.
Also, if one of the bulbs burn, would both stop working?
thanks in advance

You have to pinch the clip holding your H7 bulb in. You'll see it hinges on the bottom, so pinch towards the top and it'll swing down. Do this after removing the wires from the bulb and it'll come right out. If all those lights stopped working at once, sounds like you might have a bigger issue. Are the tail lights working? Dash lights?

Thanks for reply Michael the tail light and all other dash lights work. The turn signal indicator comes and goes.
A month ago I had a towing hitch installed since then the error message for burned bulb was showing up sometimes for no reason (nothing wrong with the bulbs at that time). I think I have to take the car to the installer and ask him to check his work.

its not uncommon for two bulbs to die at similar times if they have the same number of hours or were exposed to a voltage spike etc (alternator/regulator issue). If you find replacing the bulbs doesn't fix the issue then you may need to replace your CEM (the central electrical module has relays for the low beams which can fail).

In case this can help anybody else in the same situation I changed the bulbs and oddly enough they both started to work and even the turn signal indicator!
However changing the bulb especially the right side was a pain in the ... I can't imagine what the engineers in Volvo were thinking. There is no room to pass you hand comfortably and you are blocking your vision when you do get your hand in there. Word of warning make sure engine is off if you are changing the left side. The rotating belt can be a major danger.
thanks for the help you guys.

Same engineers that designed the cabin air filter
