My check engine light came on, and when I took my car in to get a smog check they didn't pass it because the light was on. The error code comes up as P0037 Manufacturer specific code. Does anyone know what this code is?

P0037 equates to Volvo DTC ECM2A20 - Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) bank 1, preheating. Signal is either too high, too low or missing.

 

The O2 sensor is bad have it replaced.

 

You are probably going to need a rear o2 sensor. You can check for voltage at the power wire to the heater on the sensor. I will try to post a diagram later today.
