Default Check engine light

I have spent the last few weekends doing what i thought was going to save me problems in the long run buy tuneing up my car and i also replaced a bad breakbooster. Now last night i drove to local store all was fine when i got back in to my car and started it The check engine light came on and the car is running bad it fells like it is is going to stall but does not.The engine is choking it seems and the exhaust is bouncing. When i press gas pedal the engine rpms go up and when i let it come to idel it stays at 1000rpms but the exhaust is bing and banging like its blocked??When i drove it last night when i press the gas the car wont get over 25ish mph or so with out realy sounding bad.Could this be some thing like spark plugs/fule filter even though i did them a few weeks ago
This is on my 2003 S60 AWD 2.5T Geartronic

It could be a misfire. Your best bet would be to get it scanned for trouble codes; your local auto parts store should do it for free. That will point you in the right direction.

Yes, get the code scanned at an auto parts store and post the error code here. (Or search the code at an OBD2, or scanner site like Actron.com) Since you mentioned the brake booster and idle problem, you might want to check your vacuum hoses and the intake plumbing. The exhaust banging may be because of a misfire as fast_ride mentioned. May also be worth double checking all the plug wires etc.
