Default Check Engine Light

Check engine light comes on; code reader show PO 188--Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit High Input. The check engine light has come on several times over the past couple of years in my 2005 Volvo S60 T2.5, each time a different problem, including leaking gas cap (it was cracked, had to replace with original Volvo part); mass air floor sensor; spark plugs and coils---is this a coincidence. We are able to clear the code, car runs fine but code and check engine light continue to come back on---do we need to have this checked out?

You can reset it but if the code returns within 500 miles I would fix it or have some fix it for you.

You're not serious right...

If the light comes on you probably need to fix something before something else (worse) happens.

And if you live in an area where there are smog inspections, you can't smog a vehicle with that light on.
