Default Check Engine Light after timing belt change

Hi all, new here, but have gotten some good info! Thanks!
My husband just got done replacing the timing belt on our 2003 Volvo S60 and after it had a rough idle, we figured the marks hadn't lined up properly and made a small adjustment, its now purring. But, after running it and re-starting, the engine light is now on. He is going to go and get the codes tomorrow, but was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on what it might be?
Like I said, it sounds great and is driving great, no loss of power, everything seems good. But that darn light!
He has disconnected the battery to re-set it and when the car is started and running, no light, but as soon as we turn it off and on again, the light is there.
Hopefully someone has some good ideas on what it might be or how to fix it?

Thanks!!

Only way to trouble shoot is to have the code/s read by the dealer or somebody w/ a good reader like a PPC from BSR. Using a generic reader will throw u off and would cost more in the long run
