i just bought a 2002 AWD S60 and I hear a clicking sound coming from either the air ducts or engine compartment to the front/ left of the driver. The sound will not vary based on change of speeds nor direction. It will fade in and fade out every 15 minutes or so when I am on the highway. It sounds like popcorn popping at a distance. Any ideas???

 

Have the blend door motors checked for the A/C.

It might and might not.The motors I have seen go bad were pretty much right next to the gas pedal and they would make noise everytime the A/C was on.Even standing still it would make noise.
