Default Clicking under dash

Hi everyone,
I'm having a bit of an issue with my 04 S60 2.5T AWD. There is a clicking noise coming from under the dash. It usually happens when the blower fan is turned off, when braking, and when the windshield washer spray is turned on. I'm not sure what those would have to do with eachother, if anything. If anyone could shed some light on this I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

Try changing the temp controls and recirc and see if the noise goes away.

Tried it. Still making the noise. It usually gets louder and more regular if the blower is turned off. When its on, at any setting/temperature, you can hardly hear it (though it's still there).

Thought I'd post the question on both forums. Both are good sources of info.

Maybe one of the blend door motors are bad.

Would this require a dealer recalibration or to replace the motor?

update:

I brought the car to the dealer. The tech said that the noise was the damper motor and that it was normal, but I'm still not convinced. It seems to be the same issue that some S40's have with the "barking" ECC which is fixed by a software upgrade. Does the same problem apply to the S60?

But on a lighter note, the tech at the dealership was really good about fixing the sunroof (needed lubrication) and removing the very annoying parking ticket holder.

Usually if they make noise there is something wrong.
