I hear what sounds like the left rear strut clunking (banging). I saw a notice of a "Service Bulletin" from Volvo regarding noisy strut. But I do not have the ability to see what they say the fix is. Does anyone have access to this information???

I have heard the fix is something about putting in a spacer/shim or whatever you would call it to take up the space.

A bad sway bar link will make the same noise.

 

I have seen strut mount seperated from a S60 before... once u pull out carpeting inside trunk should be easily tell if it's broken.
