Hi, '98 volvo s70 w/172k and AT...Just recently had my strut mount replaced because of the standard clunking noise. Got it back, and it still clunks and squeeks pretty bad. The strut is also relatively new, <10k on both fronts. This is on the passenger side only, any other known parts to try and swap out. Im having to pay a shop to repair, due to a recent back injury. I appreciate any advice. Thanks up front.

 

Strut mount on the other side? new one failed immediately?(hey... it's happened. If a cheap replacement was installed and the strut nut was turned too hard...) The other thing that causes noise up there is the sway bar links. They rattle and squeak much the same way. Other trouble spots there are the tie rod ends and the ball joints.
