Considering Buying a Volvo
Well, my car is acting goofy and has been randomly breaking over the last few years and I think its time I got rid of it. I found this really good looking deal on Auto Trader.
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...amp;cardist=17
Thats the link, a bit big eh?
Anyways I just had a few questions about these things
1. Why on that car are all the lug nuts rusted except 1??
2. How long do the turbo's usually last before a rebuild?
3. Is that a good deal if everything checks out?
4. Are these things hard to get serviced? My dad told me they will most likely be harder to find parts and people to repair them then other makes.
5. Could I put a HKS BOV on this car with out any trouble?
Anyways im really looking at this car, and some guidance would be great, I guess it will be slightly bias'd

Good buy for 29k miles , turbos can last over 100k, after market wheels are availble, lug nuts ? maby one is not orig, and as far as getting repaired the really no more than any other import. And tell your dad to go back to his buick and dont let him drive your volvo cause he wont want to give it back!! And if you can afford a few more bucks look into an S80t lot more care for the $$ and look at this one .. Go to ebay and type in this # in the serch box (my dream car) 200281463527 ... Dont cry when you see it and read whole description ..D
It is a good buy if it all checks out.
1: Not sure on the lug nuts, buy a new set.
2: Turbos last forever..........well........depends on the driver and if any mods. My turbo is original and it has 256,000miles and it is boosting ~12psi.
3: yes
4: Servicing these cars....to find parts check here: https://volvoforums.com/m_38606/tm.htmIt has a bunch of Aftermarket and OEM sites.
5: You should be able to. If you are just doing it for the sound, it would be A lot cheaper ifyou just slap a cone filter on the car.You willhear the stock CBV.

i have had mine for about 6 months now its an S60 T5 with 85,000 mils on it.. i have had to replace the alternator but that was self inflicted.. i only ran me $190 at a local and when i mean local i mean no name parts store.. maby 10 years ago parts were hard to get but not this day and age ... really i find these cars rather simple for the DIY person and recomend them to everyone i know..
1- Who knows, ask the seller
2- As others said, depends on alot of variables. With regular maintenence, it can last the life of the car, or you could get a bad one and need replacing. Look for a good service history.
3- Check here...

http://www.edmunds.com/
4- All depends on where you are. I love my dealer, but I've also read horror stories about some. Where are you? I'm sure someone can suggest a godd shop.
5- It is possible to put on a BOV.As someone else said, I would install a CAI if you just want some sound effests.
Hope that helps some!!
