noob here, considering buying a '00 s40
hey guys, my name's mike and i live in tampa, florida
i'm currently in the search for a vehicle to replace my gas guzzling suv[:'(] today i drove a 2000 volvo s40 and really loved it. the car has close to 90,000 miles, and based on the drive, it runs really well[sm=shades.gif] the test drive however, couldn't tell me how these things are to live with, reliability, maintenance costs, etc, etc..... i would really appreciate your inputs with regards to whether or not i should actually get it. [sm=goodidea.gif]or [sm=badidea.gif]

The S40's are overall good cars. The engine mounts wear like normal on all cars.
The cars are strong.

S40's didn't get the electronic setup till 2004.5
They have a regular throttle body with a cable till early 2004 models.
