Considering S60 T6-R Design or Inscription - Feedback welcome
New to this forum. I’m an Audi driver. I test drove an S60 this week and really liked it - particularly the seat comfort and the handling. Would you recommend the Inscription or the T6 R Design? Basically the difference in price is more power and higher quality sound plus some body effects. I’m wondering if the Inscription is the preferred model (a bit lower in price but basically same equipment). I liked the Napa seats in the T6 better but the Inscription looked more luxurious ( probably the lighter leather interior). I’d appreciate your thoughts. I’m driving an A5 Sportback which I like but it does not have the quality ride and feel I encountered in the S60. I wanted to look at the S90 but none in stock. Thanks for any feedback on these models.
If your current car is an A5 Sportback, you might want to consider the V60. Volvo calls it a station wagon but I think my 2015 V60 is more like a slightly extended hatchback. The R Design has a bit more visual impact but you will pay a small penalty in ride comfort for the larger wheels/tires. So far as the T5/T6 decision - responsiveness is very high on my list and I find the T5 perfectly satisfactory. In fact, looking back on 65 years of car ownership (including 4 previous Volvos and 3 MBs,) the V60 is probably the best car I have owned for all-around use. (Disclaimer: retired, no children or large dogs at home and no longer own a house so the Saturday trips to Home Depot et al for large quantities of "stuff" are a thing of the past.
Happy hunting.
