My, 2001 S60 is plagued with problems. Some time back my passenger side mirror started to adjustitself and would not stop.I removed the fuse and took it to a repair place that knows Volvos. They disconnected the wire to the mirror motor and problem stopped, so I now have to adjust by hand. No big deal.Just the outside temp guage does not work.
A year later I have these problems:
1-The controls for the sunroof do not work. Sometimes they do but mostly not.

2-I cannot roll up the back 2 passenger windows from the drivers door control.They go down but not up. The back passenger door controls do work

3-I have water in the back right rear passenger foot well. I noticed it when I heard a sloshing sound.Lots of water. No obvious source of leak.Sky light might have been ajar but no water stains on headliner.

4- Alarm service warning comes on but everything seems to be working.

Thanks for the reply. I bought the car 2nd hand 4 years ago Now 97000km. So it's a water problem.Thanks. Any further comment would be appreciated.Hope to hear from you

 

Yes, it sounds like a water problem but once the leak is fixed I would bet that the only thing that needs to be replaced is the driver's door module or DDM. The DDM is the thing that contains all 4 window switches, the mirror switches, and the lock/unlock button. And believe it or not, the sunroof does share a common component with the DDM. If you're looking to fix it start there. It will need to be done at a repair facility that has the capability to program the module. Post again if you get it done.
