Coolant Problems

Hello,
I've noticed that my coolant requires re-filling every two/three weeks, but this only happens in the winter time. The only thing that I do different in the winter time is use the fan to heat up the car. I've checked for leaks and nothing seems to be the problem there; however, I am concerned and thought I'd check to see if anyone else has noticed this problem. Please advise.
Thank you.

I did get it pressure tested and the mechanic told me that there is a very very tiny leak and I don't need to get the pipe changed. As far as the coolant burning faster is concerned he said not to worry about it and just re-fill it as it gets low. I don't know why I find that a little hard to believe.

In the winter I think coolant contracts more and makes the low level more noticeable. Also you probably have the heat on which circulates coolant through the heater hose. Might be a tip for you right there.

The coolant always flows through and there is a flap in the heater box that opens for heat to come out the vents.

Thought I'd let everyone know what the problem was as I got it fixed.
It turns out that one of the heater core wires linking into the dashboards was leaking. I know this because the mechanic was nice enough to show me where the leak was rather than ripping me off. The new wire that was ordered looked a bit different so we called the dealer and they confirmed that there is a leak problem in the older wires that attach onto the dashboard. If you are having problems locating a leak this is probably it. It took my mechanic about an hour to figure it out because it only leaked when the car was running (and so was the heating) for about 15 minutes straight.
The wire costs about $70 + labor and some shop items you're looking at paying about $200.
Thank you all for your help.
