Default A couple of problems...

Hello all!
I have some issues with my s60 t5 -01.

1. The sunshade(the thing under the sunroof) is now officially stuck. I can move it back, but only if I move the sunroof back simultaneously. It feels like it is out of its rails somehow but I cant see how one would fix it.

2. The clicking sound from the engine is really loud when I open up the hood(can barely hear it when closed). Should it be this way?

3. The display shows "Bulb light error - rear position light bulb" or something like that. I have looked and all bulbs seem to be working. I maybe am missing something, but this errormsg was on for a couple of hours then it went away. Then it came back again and now wont go away. On the rear lights, how many bulbs are supposed to be lit at all times. I have 2, one on the very side of the backlight and one in the "upper-middle" part of the whole thing.

4. The struts for the trunk are missing, any cheap matching ones I can easily get(i.e. without ordering).

That was all.. for now

I appreciate any help I can get so throw in your thoughts. Thank you

1. Most likely the sunshade guides are broke. Looks like springs pretty cheap as well but you have to remove the glass to replace them.

2.Maybe the oil pan o-rings are bad?

3.You should have 2 parking light bulbs working per side.

4.Not sure maybe stop by a local auto parts store and try to match some up my measurements.

Thank you for your answers.

Tech: Oil pan O-rings? I have noticed some oil on top of the engine. Very little though looks like it came from the top. Is this what you are referring to?

No the oil pan attaches to the block. Between the pan and block there is o-rings that seal oil passages between the block and inside the pan. The o-rings go bad and cause the oil pressure to drop and cause the lifters to tap.

Thank you for your reply.

Would I be seeing oildrops on my parking spot then? Because I dont think I have any, but I will check again now. Also, is this an expensive fix?

No it would be leaking internally.

hmm.. how much would it cost to fix? I also have no "low oil pressure" warning. Is it safe to drive ?

As long as the light isn't coming on you can drive it but I would not wait all that long.
Not sure exactly call the Dealer close to you for a price.
If your handy I made a post about replacing them.
