Default Couple questions.

I have a 2003 2.4t manumatic, and i was wondering and yes i searched, just give a brief of what exactly the stage zero mod is... and also i was just jw if i were to get a bov such as HKS etc. would it still let out the boost (pssh) when shifting, like manuals.. im pretty sure it does just making sure. And lastly, what would you reccomend, getting a k&n drop in or connecting my foam filter up? ANY help would be great. And yes i love my new volvo, great decision to join the club.

Hi Rob, I have an External Dv on my 2.4T geartronic. Its does not dump on shifts , only when you let off the throttle . I had mine toned down a bit , so it aint that loud. The reason why I ad one installed was after I did the Ecu remap, with high boost running the internal recirculating valve failed , so we blanked it off and put one off these locally made after market DV. Had to have the pipes fabricated and welded up, , installed it onto that rubber hose that connects to the cooler from the main plastic boost pipe.

I have a KNNdrop in on mine, and its works great . Ive tried all other setups open air cone , BMC CDA and came back to the stock airbox with just the KNN drop in. I thing the swedes did a good job in designing that airbox.

1. A K&N panel filter is a great setup for a filter. Your stock airbox is the best setup for an intake. So either replace with a stock paper filter or a K&N panel filter.

2. An HKS SSQV is awsome, the sound is amazing. Do not go with any TURBO XS models though from TURBO XS they are prone to leaking. Go with a real HKS SSQV, yes not a knock off you will regret it later. You can get a real HKS SSQV for under $170 shipped.

3. From the pervious poster it looks like it wont go off during your fake shifting. And I do know on a regular automatic it will only go off when you let off the throttle.
