I'm driving at about 70mph and the car starts to lose power, then takes off, then loses power. When it loses power, I hit the pedal, but nothing happens.

Lights stay bright, no check engine, but It's almost like something is coming unplugged and the being plugged back in.

I checked the battery cables and everything seemed to be fine.

any suggestions?
