my name is grant from the uk, nice to meet you all.
well i am hoping you lot can help me.

i currently had a timing belt failure on a v60 2.0d d5204t3 engine,
i have taken the head of ready for a rebuild/repair.
my problem is when I took the camshafts off I didn’t mark the timing, I could have slapped myself once I realised but it was too late!
the camshafts are rear geared timed, I don’t quite know how to set this correctly?
I have checked online for a procedure and any tools but so far nothing.

There are no slots on the rear of the camshafts for timing, just toothed gears!

can you help me?

Harvest some info on this problem from the Saab Forum ..they are very similar … and much livelier !
This task can be difficult - start in the morn, right after your warm up exercises . Do things slowly and with thought ..many cars are identical in this mechanical area ..
