Default Deciding if to buy a 2004 S60 turbo?

Hello, I am new to this forum and after reading half the post I am confused more than ever on a upcoming undecided purchase of a volvo? I have come across a 2004, 8900 mile S60 turbo volvo. I like the car but don't really know the details of the volvo(the engine, brakes, what to watch out for in the car..... )I don't know if I should pass on this car or buy it?

First, check CarFax although even that is not entirely reliable. Do everything to find out the entire truth about the car (accidents, previous owners, mechanical problems, etc.) as this is in your best interest. Also, by turbo do you mean the S60R or the T? In a nutshell, the Volvo is a very reliable car, but even it is not flawless. Some have problems, others do not. It is all chance. What is the asking price for the car? Provide more details and the members here should clarify your situation.

The S60s depreciate quickly in value. $26K seems reasonable for a 2004 although I'm sure that if you search around, you can find a used '05 (8K miles) for about $29-30. Might even be an R.
