2001 s60 T5 135Kmiles. when I bought this car used (65Kmiles) the remote did not work. took it to the dealer, and they said it needed all 4 new door locks, before they could activate/repair the remote. this true? Sometimes the locks pop back up after short time after locking the car. A salvage dealer told me it is the rear door lock (right or left) that has the remote receiver in it, and that the volvo electronics/locks are not particularly reliable, and I should buy new from the dealer.

Can anyone clarify the above?

Well....I can't help, other than report my 2002 S60 does a similar thing SOMETIMES. When it occurs it is always the passenger front door. It will pop right back up after locking the car....for some reason it seems to have gotten better.???
