Drip Moldings
I have a red 2001 Red S60 T5. The drip moldings have lost their clear coat and are now losing the red paint. They make the car look like crap. The dealer wants $575 to replace them. I've done a little searching on the web and have not come up with replacements. Anyone know where I might find some at a more reasonable cost? New / used doesn't matter to me.
Also, the dealer said this is normal. Are you kidding?!?! I have a 1987 760 GLT and the exterior is immaculate after years of sitting in the elements. There is no reason a 2001 that was garage kept should have this type of failure.

-Junk yard
-Ebay
-Craigslist
-Volvo based forums like this one and many others.
Also it is an older car and cars do wear and tear and obviously this is typical of this model.
They wanted $150 per roof moulding on my 1995 850 I didn't give into them and left them as be.

go to a local paint shop, get the color code and have them spray them. Don't think tey'll run you more than $100.
Also, you can try some compound. Generally paint jobs have aprox. 18 coats. Rubbing compound will peel away the top coat exposing the lower coat which is in good shape. It will look like new. Becarefull, though. Compounds need to be mixed with some water depending on how much grit you need. Be sure to read the instructions!!!

I recently purchased a red'01 S60 2.4t and it has the exact issue with the drip moldings as your car. Looks identical to your pics. I had a local body shop in the Seattle area quote me $300 including tax to replace them.
I did some research and also found them on this site. Looks to me that parts #6,7,12, and 13 would be required and they areavailable in red. All said and done, I think my body shop quote is probably a better deal because they can get the parts for a lot less.
This link should show the part illustration.

Good luck and keep me posted on what you decide to do.
