Whenever we use the key fob to unlock the doors, the outside mirror on the drivers side will move to its most upward position. Once in the car we have to re-set. Plus it moves in a jerking motion.

It doesn't happen when we use the key to unlock the doors.

Is the computer getting dementia?

 

I am not a Auto Electrical guy and I am not sure of electrical layout. I can't remember the name off the top of my head. But sometimes wires rub together through their coating can cause a jump from one intended final destination to another. I can't think of it off the top of my head exactly what it is called. But that very well could be the issue.
