Driver/passenger climate controls
2007 Volvo S60 AWD
This morning I noticed that the driver's side blows out hot air but the passenger's side does not, no matter what the setting. Any clue on why the heat would not flow to both sides?

I just went out to the store and tried your suggestion, but it still blows cold on the passenger side. It gets quite hot on the driver's side, especially since it is still 67 degrees here in Orlando.
The Volvo dealer found that it needs a new diaphragm, but had to order one and they will install it later this week.
One question: when they do that work (under warranty), would it be easy for them to install an iPod adapter (and save on labor), or is that a separate operation? Or will a dealer always charge separately?

Last Saturday they took 2 1/2 hours and found what they thought was a defective temperature damper motor, since it would not calibrate. Today, after installing it, they found it was an internal climate control issue, so they replaced the climate control unit, did a software reload, and calibrated the damper motors. It works and it was under warranty. Of course, the temperature now has warmed up.
They also quoted $585 for the iPod adapter, and suggested that customers had very mixed views about it. That is about $400 more than I would pay for it.
