Default Climate vacuum controls question

I have a 1987 240 wagon that I was very happy to quiet down its barking blower fan. The bearings are way gone and I was able to take the shortest of blower fan shortcuts by drilling two holes and spraying wd-40 with some accuracy. While I am overjoyed with the relative quietness of the fan I have created a new issue in doing so. In removing and replacing the center console a number of times, I inadvertently disconnected the vacuum lines, or at least two of them that go to the three buttons that control the climate control doors. I think they are defroster/recirculation/foot air. My question is, since I really don't look forward to spending another chunk of my day getting way up close and dirty with my center console, and probably breaking something else, would it be possible to plug up my climate control vacuum system at some central place where I would not have to remove the console again and fix the doors so that recycle air and the defroster is always on for winter?

I love this car but it is already on its 6th or 7th life and I really did not enjoy all the rug level horizontal fiddling I was involved with today. Chances are better than even that it will not make it through the winter.

Thanks very much,
Jim Lee
