Default Driveshaft issues

Hey all

My friend and I were replacing the drivers side ball joint (2001 S60 tse) but looks as though we've pulled the driveshaft out a touch too much. we;ve took the boot joint back and seen the bearings have come out of the central ring (im not too car friendly!). My friend knows about carsand knows in principal what we need to do but he's not seen a design like this. We put the bearings back in but the central "bit" - what the driveshaft goes back into does not pivot so we can assume its not in correctly.

Any ideas where we might be going wrong.

Many thanks for any help!!

Cheers
Andrew

Default RE: Driveshaft issues

Maybe try removing and reinstalling it again.
It might not be in all the way.
