I would appreciate it if someone could spare a little time explaining the function of DSTC. Is it advisable, at all times, to have it enabled, or are there times when it would be in order to disable it?


Info...I have a '05 S60 D5 and have the DSTC enabled at all times.

your dstc is on at all times even if you turn it of when u cycle the key i will turn back on.dstc help for weel spin it monitors the car if your car drifts side t side. if u start sliding it will brake one side and keep other side to spinning to get back control.
it means dynamic stability traction control

need2fix, thank you for your reply. It reinforces my decision to change and to stay with Volvo for the last forty years. They truly are one of the world leaders in car safety.
