Default Deactivate DSTC with snowchains??

Hmmm, I don't know if anyone has faced that problem before, but should i deactivate DSTC when driving with snowchains? Manual says deactivate ESP with snowchains, but i think that on an S60 (05 model) you can't fully deactivate the whole DSTC system, and ESP will always be on. Any ideas? And why DSTC effects - in a wrong way - driving with snowchains?

But doesn't the DSTC work and on the rear wheels? And how deactivating such an important electronig assistant helps you driving better with snowchains? I can't understand how these two things are conflicting each other... Friends of mine with different cars drive with snowchains and the DSTC on and their car manual says nothing about it.

Your car is front wheel drive not rear wheel drive.

Im not sure how it affects it. It might be from a different tire size. When the chains are on it might confuse the computer. The front wheels will be moving faster than the rears.

I know it's a frontwd. I couldn't understand how the snowchains in front affects the rear wheels. Thank's for the tip.
At final, i didn't need any snowchains at all. DSTC managed just fine during a snow-weekend-drive. There was only a bit of a loud noise while trying to start over an icy terrain, but i think that this is normal. Althought, while testing the behaviour of the car on ice, i accelerated more than normal for an icy road, the car started slidding to the right with no control at all. That is what i can't understand. The DSTC stands for Dynamic Stability and Traction Control. I didn't see any stability at all. Any ideas? Thanks a lot again..!
