Does anyone on this forum know what the purpose. of the ECO drive mode on my 2017 S60T5 is? I noticed it turns off the AC, and according to the owners manual it shifts differently. It's definitely more sluggish. I absolutely hate the stop/start function, first thing I get into my car and start it, I turn that off. So I drove in ECO mode for a week. My mpg usage was identical to driving in normal mode. So I wondering why have it. Does it somehow save the environment or something like that. It certainly doesn't improve my costs. Anyone ? Any ideas?

 

OK, just in case anyone wants to know, I did save a GRAND TOTAL of 0.3 mpg! Worth it? NOPE
