engine swap
I understand most people will tell me to buy a new car but I like mine and plan to keep it. When researching an engine swap i came across something confusing. It said 99+ year models are vin locked and that a swap would throw codes and rev lock at 4k. I'm wondering if you were to do a Rica ecu with a tune is an engine swap possible without this problem. If not I really want to boost my car. It's a 2002 2.4 nonturbo s60 and its a manual so I'm really trying to keep it
and are you sure that the throttle body is the only linked part I really would like to avoid all problems but would like to get a start on I really would like to avoid all problems but would like to get a start on the t5 swap
The throttle and ECM are matched, and the ECM is matched to the rest of the car. So add an engine, intercooler and piping, wiring harness, ECM to your already huge list to add AWD. Then find someone to program the car to the ECM.
Or be logical and get an R.
