Default eratic turn signals...

I am having trouble with my turn signals. Sometimes when I turn them on the blink unevenly, or occasionally not at all. If I move the stalk (turn them off and on again) they are usually fine.

I imagine that this is a problem with the switch and not the relay. Is changing the switch difficult, and has anyone else had this problem?

How hard is it to change the stalk? Does that fix it, and where can you get a new one from?

I just changed me driver's side, front turn signal and it's still blinking quickly and giving me the "Left turn signal failure" error. I was careful not to touch the bulb while I was replacing it. How do I get the error to stop?

I've been having problems lately with this too. It happens with right and left signals. They will blink fast and say "Left (or right) Turn Signal Failure" however all three bulbs are flashing fast.

It is commonly a bad connection inside the socket that causes it.
The turn signal switches go bad as well but will not throw the error message.

So, what should I do? Try to take it out and put it back in again? Do I have to get a new socket for the light?

My problem is the same as JP's. All the lights are functioning properly and brightly however the "bulb failure" message keeps appearing.
