Default erattic engine.

I got a 2002 S 60 with 65k miles on it. I can't believe the engine started to be problematic. When I accelerate between 1500 and 2000 RPM , it whines and a check engine light turns on. I took it to a dealer and they said it needed a software upgrade. On the very next day the engine light came back and stayed for a while then went away. The dealer said they need a engine light to be on to check. The light has been on and off and whenever I call them they said they are full and I have to wait and depending on their findings, they will charge me again. I will never buy any volvo and won't go to a dealer again. For me, volvo is a lemon.

There's a recall on ETM on these models so do your research.

Default oily spark plugs

Today I pulled out all spark plugs and noticed oil at the threads of all plugs. I wonder why in the first place the dealer couldn' find this, while relying on only computer scan. I think I need a new valve cover gasket.

U have to clean your pcv w/c is possibly clogged. While engine is idling, pull out oil dipstick and see if smoke is blowing out of it. If it is, then pcv job shld be done.
