Hey all, I'm curious if anyone would know where I could find a manual transmission for a 2001 S60 T5. A friend of mine really wants to put a manual into his car, but we have no idea where to even start looking for one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This conversion is a son-of-a-bitch. Really think very carefully before you do this.

Not only will you need to source a transmission but you will need to get an ECU or custom programing.

It has been done, but it is literally cheaper to just but a new car that already is a manual.

Hope to get some ideas here, i have a 2000 v70 "S60 wagon" and i currently am faced with the dilemma of replacing my T5 5 speed auto transmission with another auto or a manual 5 speed! Maintenance and expense on these autos can be quite pricey and i am informed by the transmission specialist that my particular transmission is pretty temperamental. The car has round 200000kms so the transmission has been reasonable No my question is as follows!! Will a 850T5 5 speed manual transmission bolt directly onto my cars motors without the need of an engineering shop. I understand that I would need to source a flywheel clutch etc, along with the shifter! Some help on this would be greatly appreciated
