i have an 03 2.4l fwd and i have a clunking noise in the front end when going over norman bumps in the road but not over speed bumps. i had the same noise in my old car and the spindle was totally shot but i checked these and theyre ok. any ideas?

Might be either the upper spring seat or sway bar link causing the noise.

 

I have the same noise on my right front!! I took it to 3 different places and they all said everything was fine. They said the noise may be annoying but everything is tight and the handling is excellent. If anything gets worse then bring it back in. That is what I'm told...How much is it to fix the upper spring seat and/or sway bar link? (although they all said the sway bars look fine)[&:][:@]

 

I would call and get an estimate on it.
I mainly work on them. I really don't deal with the prices.

The lower portion of the spring seat may be cracking; most shops will charge youto check thisit.
