Where is the fuel filter located on a 05 S-60 2.4 non turbo

 

It should be passenger side, just forward of the rear wheel along the subframe, as it is on my '01. Round canister possibly covered in undercoating.

It doesn't have a servicable fuel filter. It is perm. in the tank.

 

My 06 2.5T hasthe external filter. Just below the rear passengerdoor as described above. It looks to be the same as the IDP# 30620512 described on the bottom of their web page.

It's listed asa 30K mile itemso we'll see how it does with a new one....

 

You probably have the 59 engine code like me (VIN position 6-7). I also have the filter. Manual states a 120k mile change interval. Like you, I probably won't wait that long.

 

Sure enough ...RS5923.... VIN. AutoZone carries replacement filters for about $15 -About 10 minutes max for replacement.
